About
Travis and Kelsey are about to pursue their biggest adventure yet! Prior to meeting each other, we each independently wanted to hike the PCT - this year we finally pulled the trigger and are going to attempt the journey.
Here's some FAQs we've been peppered with a few times:
How far do you have to hike each day? The total length of the trail is 2650 miles, so over ~150 days we need to average 17.6 miles per day.
How much food and water do you have to carry? Anywhere from a couple days to a week. Luckily there was a lot of rain this winter, so many of the seasonal streams are running strong.
How heavy is your pack? Both of our base weights are right around 15 pounds (everything without the variable weights of food and water.) With our variable weight, we come in anywhere between 20 and 30lbs.
